Why would it be poisoned? Cats kill small animals all the time.

My cat's eaten part of a snake, 3 frogs and 2 mice... in the same day. I think you're cat will be just fine.

My dog would show up with dead birds but once she showed up with a frozen loaf of bread. Seriously. She was outside for maybe 15 minutes, no one was watching her...she usually waits at the door when she wants in so I go to let her in and she has an entire loaf of bread in her mouth.

That's one helpful dog. I thought people provided for dogs not the other way around.

I remember when my old cat would kill voles (kinda like a mouse) and only eat the head, then it would leave the body in front of the door :D

Animal Planet has this show that does the Top 10 Most Extreme ______________ (fill in the blank). I think the topic for one show was predators, and the house cat was #1 due to the massive variety of prey they will hunt and kill.

My cat captured and killed a small bird, came home with it in his mouth and sat in the corridor and started plucking and eating it. We couldn't let him because although it's in his nature, we don't really want him to taste blood in case he goes mad for the stuff and starts killing small dogs (he is a pretty big cat). We congratulated him and gave him a few treats though :)

Wait. Wouldn't giving it treats just be rewarding that kind of behavior?

YES YOUR CAT IS POISONED!

cats are never supposed to catch mice you see, they get rabies and over night will turn into zombie like crazy animals, like all other carnivores

OH NOES

Well you have to reward it for doing what it is supposed to do by it's nature. We just prefer it eat some tasty biscuits rather than a small birds gut :?

My cat once ate dozens (if not hundreds) of baby mice :P

my parent's friend came over, and left a box of baby mice that he was going to feed to his snakes in his car. He left the car's window open, and my cat decided to jump in and have a little snack.

honestly, you should be proud, if a cat brings you a dead animal it is a sign of affection, and now you can be assured if any mouse-sized robbers come into your house, your cat will take care of it

My cat has brought in: mice, shrews, bats, fish, and several varieties of birds (pigeon, English Black Bird, blue tit, etc)...she isn't poisoned, it's their instinct...and cats do not go near poison, they are smarter about those type of things than dogs (I mean, cats can tell if something is bad/poisoned).

My cats keep everything out of my house. Mice, flies, spiders, you name it. They're indoor cats so they don't bring anything in but they keep everything out.

Cats come from those feline creatures known as Lions, Panthers and Tigers... Killing is something cats of all kinds do.

And BTW, a tiger would kill a wolf any day. Stupid dogs.

One night my cat caught a mouse and ate it. But in the morning when I woke up, I looked down on the floor and ......there was a mouse head and tail along with a trail of blood all over my floor. Other times when he has caught mice I have found a nose and once he left the whole thing on the floor after he managed to turn it inside out.

lol i remember my cat caught a gopher and the front door was open, so my cat walks in, jumps on my lap, and it has a gopher in its mouth lol. Its orange gopher teeth were right in my face to.

So I picked my cat up and of course it dropped the gopher in the floor, so I grab some newspaper and I got my huge cat in one hand and a dead gopher in another. Ahhhhh you cant help but laugh at these moments.

As for being scared of your cat for being infected, its not. If your cat gets bit by a racoon, then you might want to get it checked out, but otherwise let it kill all the rodents it wants.
