He was born April 2006 (he was still just a kitten). I just found out 10 minutes ago. He was ran over. I don't wanna go into detail. I really did like him. He didn't really have an official name due to everyone disagreeing on what to call him. But he was fun to play with. I'm taking this alot harder than it sounds as I type this. I never thought I could take something as little as the death of a Pet this hard, but...I don't know. I just really feel like...I don't know. I know I'll get over it probably by the end of the day, but I'm pretty sad as of right now. UPDATE: To the small % of the GS OT who has a cat. Keep him/her inside. If it's an outside cat, I'm 100% positive he/she won't live very long. Trust me. To me (unlike the rest of the people in my family), I knew this was going to happen, and it was only a matter of time.
I always take it really hard when one of my pets dies. They are a part of the family, like a little sister or brother. I get bent out of shape for like a week, and even after, I am really depressed.
My condolences, the saying "all dogs go to heaven" relates to cats too, but they are in a different part.
I know I'd be sad if my cats died. We had them since their first day of existence, we brought their mom in as a stray and had no idea she was pregnant. I know it doesnt seem like they do much, since they are snoozing on the couch right now, but its all the little things they do that win you over.
I feel your pain bud. I just found out yesterday my parents had to put down our family dog this Sunday. He was part of the family and it'll take a little while to get over it.

Please don't remind me of those pictures. Some people here know what I mean What? Trust me, you don't want to know. Squishing and kittens have a whole new meaning once you've seen what I, and many others have.
No. I think my brother is just going to bury it. Although he is sad about the loss, he is generally the strongest in my family when it comes to emotions. The thing about that cat was that my mother was extremely picky on which cat to buy or "adopt". We looked around stores for months and it had to be THE cutest kitten she had ever seen.
I'm sorry to hear that. pets really do become members of the family over time, and it's always sad when a family member dies :(
my cat lives outside most of the time, but there are probably only about five cars a day on our street, so I don't see him getting run over, and he's very tough (he could easily take down most of the dogs in the neighborhood :P ) so I don't worry about him getting killed by any predators.
