sounds alright, I guess. Not sure what videogame it's for, but it works.

It doesn't really excite though, but that's just me.

For your first try its alot better than what I did on my first try. What music generator program did you use? Sounds perfect for a battle scene barely starting.

It sounds good, but I have a few suggestions. I don't know whether you would consider this 1 piece, or a montage of pieces from 'the game', but to me it certainly feels like the latter and it makes it a bit disconnected. Try focusing on one section and lengthening it. Keep it focused for what you are trying to accomplish because in this piece I hear "Emotional section" and "gun fire section" and "introduction section" all in one piece.

Also, try to identify what game you are composing for. It's all well and good to have inspirations from other games and cultures in a piece, but I don't get a game identity out of this. At some points it feels heavily like an Uncharted style shooter, but with elements of FF thrown in. Again, this is really just another case of focusing yourself, but it's probably best to start off with this idea in mind. Also, take into account what 'the game' is about and where it is set and who the characters are. Composing music for games often comes after everything else has been made for this reason.

And try to keep a theme in your music too. Do you want strings to be a feature in the majority of the game, or brass? or bass? It's little things like that that give more character I find.

But seriously, great work man. This is far better than anything I could ever dream of doing! Keep it up!

I checked your site and saw you're a pro, so i won't give you any advices, as i'm complete n00b...

Abot 'Epica' -i love it! Wish it was longer - at least6 minutes with each ''segment'' lasting longer. Any chance of an ''Extended Mix''? :)

After visiting the main site, I think it definately works as a general track for showcasing skills. I would have used less buildup in the very beginning, but I'm also a certified crazy person, so...yeah.

MOD EDIT - Sorry, but I need to close this, as the primary intent of the thread seems to be to advertise your work. Such threads are not permitted on the GS forums. As long as you DO NOT stand to profit, though, you can share your work in your blog and put a link to the blog entry in your sig. I would definitely encourage you to do so!
