When my friends go on my labtop I usually have a gamespot tab open. They've seen it but i doubt they know what it is anyway or even care. Neither do I.
My friend just walked in on me about to make a post on GS. Before, I used to be embarrassed and close GS tabs when my friends came in for fear of looking like a geek, but after realizing I only really go to OT, it isn't really something to be ashamed about. I just like reading random things said by the smart people in OT. What do you do when someone you know walks in on you posting on Gamespot?ZumaJones07
wat
Whats the difference if someone walked in on you posting on GS as opposed, to say, tagging people you know on Facebook? Is it more acceptable because FB is more popular or because its real life friends you're interacting with? I mean.... I really couldn't care less if a friend saw me posting here. It's all the internet to me. I'd only be embarassed if I was walked in watching porn or something, and even still some of my friends wouldn't care.
I don't see any reason to be ashamed. My girlfriend has seen the tab and considered registering. If she doesn't care, I don't care.
I'm not embarrassed by posting, but I'm paranoid that people who walk in will start reading over my shoulder.scorch-62Annoying to say the least
lol i didn't know OT is that bad, guess i'm the only one who sometimes shares OT stories with his friends.
Since I genuinely don't care what other people think of me, it does not embarrass me at all. I do what Ienjoy and if someone does not like it or thinks it's nerdy, then good for them. I couldn't care less.
I don't care what people think of my tastes or interests in music, movies, games, or anything in general. I figure there's always a way to nitpick, and I can easily tear apart their interests if they dare challenge mine in a hostile way; now I don't know that, but it seems logical, and such arrogance helps me remain confident enough to really not care what people think :P
If someone wants to make fun of my interest in posting on a gaming website, then... So be it, I'll challenge them on it if they persist on bothering me about it.
Gamespot is normally the tab I switch to when someone suddenly walks in on me.DanteSuikoden
This is exactly what I was going to say.
Nothing. I don't like people reading what I'm writing, but I don't care if they know that I'm posting on GS. I've sat in Airports, McDonalds, the library, and places like that posting before.
the librarylensflare15Whenever I see people posting on GS in my library I always go have a nose to see if I 'know' them. They're always kids who aren't logged in though.
I'm not embarrassed by posting, but I'm paranoid that people who walk in will start reading over my shoulder.scorch-62I'm not paranoid about that, but it does annoy the crap out of me when people do that. :|
