[QUOTE="SWBFIIMast3r"]My dad has an iPhone. Oh yeah, I should inform you guys I'm only 14 and I work in an old peoples home every saturday and sunday and make $5 an hour.iArabThat sucks, I get $20 a day for doing nothing. :) Lucky.
No, not just the screen but i was jogging and and it fell out of my pocket and with a lot of force smashes against the concrete, a lot of missing pieces.SWBFIIMast3r
Oh. Well, nevermind. If it were something less dramatic then you could go through iPod Resq. That must have been some fall.

I know. Sounds like a movie. But it wasn't. That's the depressing part. My 60GB iPod Video. Well, technically I've been through four. I had the first generation Nano and my screen cracked. Apple replaced it, though. Then, I got a 30GB iPod video and ended up having dead pixels. Apple replaced that too. You should always get a case for your player, but especially for players with harddrives. Even if it were still in one piece, a drop like that probably hurt the harddrive as well so it would've worked incorrectly anyway.
[QUOTE="SWBFIIMast3r"]No point in life now.irelevent
get another, non-apple mp3/wva/mp4/other player, the truth is if you have a windows computer, there are far better mp3 players out now.
Doubt it. Plus, the iPod/iTunes ecosystem beats the heck of out of most players. Then again, I'm comtemplating on getting a Zune over an iPod soon so you never know. It all depends on what you're looking for in a player and your software.

But still, will it hurt to give Apple a call? See if anything CAN be done? Probably not, but do you think it's worth the try?[QUOTE="stkr"][QUOTE="SWBFIIMast3r"][QUOTE="stkr"][QUOTE="SWBFIIMast3r"]No, not just the screen but i was jogging and and it fell out of my pocket and with a lot of force smashes against the concrete, a lot of missing pieces.SWBFIIMast3r

I love Apple products, but their customer service is horrid. They don't cover user error which includes dropping the iPod or anything dealing with water (washing machine, fell in toilet). I've dealt with them and it get's annoying. If is just came apart and the parts aren't actually broken, then you can find tutorials online where people have taken their iPods apart and put them back together (mainy to replace the battery). My point is, if it's destroyed then I'd just give up on it. If is just snapped apart then you might be able to put it back together. It's worth a shot.

HDD's are sluggish in performance compare to flash drives.16 GB is way more than enough, who actually uses all that space and needs it on a daily basis?

I know all about that, but if they optimized the firmware of the device and kept it simple then it could run fine. I actually have about 30GB of music. I obviously don't listen and watch everything all at once, but I've got several Pixar movies and such that are great to watch whenever I'm in the car or someplace. Having all of my media with me is the point of having an iPod. It used to be that the more you paid the higher you storage. Obviously that's not the case anymore. The iPod Touch is lightning quick I will admit.
