My Microwave has become self-aware.

A few hours ago I was near the microwave and all of a sudden it started beeping like crazy. As soon as I go near it the clock switches to 99. A few seconds later it turns on and starts counting down from 2 minutes. I stop it but a few seconds later it switches the clock back to 99. Weird.
I turn it off at the plug, wait a minute, and plug it back in. Seems fine now. Good, must have just been someone screwing with the settings. It's fixed now.

Just a few moments ago I hear "beep beep beep" in the kitchen. At first I ignore it thinking it was someone in there but again it beeps 3 times. I go out and as soon as I go near it, the clock changes to 99! I try and cancel it but it starts up again with a 2 minute timer! WTF! Why the hell did it start up as soon as I went near it again and why the hell is 99 showing up?

I have come to the conclusion that it has become self-aware and has turned against me.

Throw a bag of popcorn in there and see what happens. I think the worst case is, is that a oven comes back from the future to protect you.

Hate to put on the serious hat but dont leave that thing turned on! God knows what you will wake up to, sounds like some nasty messed up wiring and that points towards a fire.

Its been cooking food for a life time....dont let it cook you.

That microwave is broken, that happened to me about a week ago. It started doing wierd things like turning on by itself, If i was you I would buy a new one. I once put my food in my "broken" microwave, took it out, and the food smelled horrible, like gas... and burned stuff, I didn't eat it.

j/k Just get other microwave, it may be dangerous to keep a microwave like that, besides, 100 dollars for a new Microwave isn't that expensive...
