Anyone else have a mother that acts more like a sister? Last month for me sent + received was around 6,000. Hers was only 2,000. How much do the rest of you text?
Lol... that would be creepy. No - my mom it just a mom. And when I had a cell, I'd text maybe 500 a month. maybe even 800. But I never counted. I don't have a cell anymore, and I don't miss it either.
6000?!?!?!?! How does she even find time to do anything else, at 31 days in a month, that's 193-ish texts a day, or, imagining she's awake for 15 of 24 hours, 12 texts an hour, which is one text every 2 minutes o.0 I send about one every two months

I'm the same, I don't understand people who text when a quick call can achieve the same as 20 texts in a 10th of the time. Can't talk to 3 people at the same time tho. and calling is annoying since you are glued to the phone

Wow... what age group is she in? My parents are the same way. They are both 61.
My mom is coming up on 60 as well. Explaining how to email someone or copy a file from one folder to another on her computer is an endless adventure because she'll forget as soon as I leave.

Oh I know the feeling very well. My mom has been using computers for years but still doesn't understand the concept of copy and paste. To her credit, she is so much better with these things than my grandmother. I still laugh about the time I told her to move the mouse to the start button... I had to explain what the mouse was and where the start button was. She then literally picked up the mouse to move it to the start button.......

I do probably like 80 a month or so and my Mom doesn't ever. She sent me one text once to remind me about my dads birthday and to send a card in the mail. It was the most horrible looking text ever too, it looked like Simple Jack sent to me and took me awhile to decipher it into normal words.
I probably send and receive a combined total of 1,000-3,000 texts per month. Sometimes that number is significantly smaller, though. I'm not even a texting fiend. Most people around me tend to text more. I just like to text the friends that I don't see everyday and keep in touch.
Not alot at all. Generally the only time I do is when it's for something small that's not worth calling a person for (like asking a person if they'll be somewhere) however no. I'm not into the whole i'm gonna text all my friends for a few hours thing.
