My neighbors are playing loud music while I'm trying to work...what to do?

Whoever lives next to me in my apartment building is playing Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" so loud I can hear and understand every word. Normally this wouldn't be such a big deal, I mean Phil Collins is alright...but I'm trying to write a paper on what Shakespearean Opera and I need complete silence. Unfortunately I have no laptop or else I'd go to the library...

What do I do? Do you knock on their door and ask them to turn it down? That seems awkward...

Of course thats option #1...but if you don't have a gun, a bat will work perfectly fine too.

If its after like 10pm, you can just go right ahead and call the cops.

lol unfortunately its only 8:45 here...I could never call the cops...I think its a single mom and her kids. Sometimes I hear a baby crying in there for what seems like hours. That thing screams.
