I am sure many of you like are here art, here are some of my oil paintings...

Nice stuff. Can I ask a question? Is there a contextual reason for why some of the animals look sad? I'm not familiar with horse keeping or horsery or whatever that's called, so I don't know if that's just standard facial gear for a horse. But the first two paintings are kind of dark, the horse looks kind of sad, and especially in the second painting the head-down pose along with the vein running down from the eye (which reminds me of tears running down the face) just really makes me sad. Is this supposed to be a commentary on the practice of keeping animals in bondage?
The dog looks a little bit sad too, but that could just be my imagination. It also evokes a little bit of the self-portrait wherein a dude will sit there trying to look all serious as if that will make him look more dignified, so maybe I'm getting the wrong idea there.
But the fish also makes me a little bit uncomfortable. That's a pretty clinical view of a fish, and that fish is certainly dead as hell which means that it's probably not very happy about this. Is that supposed to be ironic? Taken in context with the first two paintings, is that kind of cold clinical depiction of a fish supposed to be a statement about the way that animals are treated as things?
I always have seen "happy" animal paintings, most animals are not that happy in captivity. I really want to show the animals true feelings through my paintings. I think most horses are not that happy with the way they are treated. Wild horses seem much happier than captive ones. humans as whole treat animals like shit. Like look at the beautiful big cats that are being killed off for their fur. Or the elephants killed for their ivory... Its pretty sad whats going on....
I am an artist myself also I am was always to untalented to work with real materials like oil,
may I add this last remnant to this topic, I made these in 2006 when I was in contact with people from an american sonic-fan site but the conection to the pics was always very lose and I often asked myself were I got the inspiration to make them ... its probably just one of the many coincidences taking place every day
a bit abstract compared to your works I admit ...
mark of the hedgehog, I called it like this back in 2006
its actually a vector graphic for flock-transfer and I used to waer a shirt with that motive on it for years
the second one is strangely self explanatory
regards
Incredible skill you have! I had been an artist in the past but gave it up. I gave all of my art supplies to my daughter who is becoming a better artist than I could have ever been. Your skill is great, now I think you should work on subject matter or style that sets your art apart and is uniquely yours. Don't take that as a criticism because I love those pieces above, I just think you got what it takes to go to another level.
