I was just in the kitchen talking to him, and he was in the living room, and he just all of a sudden spit on the carpet. I was like WTF.. did you just spit on the carpet? He was like I think I had a toothbrush bristle in my mouth and I had to get it out. I was like why did you not just go to the sink in your bathroom? He was like I didn't feel like walking over there.

WTF? Is this common behavior in your household to spit on the carpet? Never in my life have I ever seen somebody do that and act so nonchalant about it like it's something that people do all the time.

Sounds like he should be happy that he doesn't live alone.. i have no idea about him, but i'd guess that's the kind of behaviour your could expect from a guy that also pisses in bottles because the toilet is too far away.. a little nasty dude..

That's so disgusting. I hate spit. It's only common behavior when a person isn't raised to be a respectful, clean person with some common sense.

A little nasty, but if he was just trying to get a bristle off the tip of his tongue...versus lunging tobacco spit on the floor...then that wouldn't seem so bad.

Being the anal retentive **** that I am when it comes to cleanliness in my home, I would've had a not-so-pleasant chat with that fellow.

If it was a dry spit, to get rid of a hair or bristle, it's not that big of a deal.

Yeah.. I try to keep the place clean. I knew this kid was kind of messy, but if he spits on the carpet of the living room right in front of me, God knows what he does when I'm not around or in his room.

I think you should focus on the big picture. He had a toothbrush bristle in his mouth...at least he has good dental hygiene habits. A carpet can be cleaned or replaced, but poor dental health leads to poor general health.

No, it wasn't just like if you would spit out a sunflower seed. He literally spit like a big glob of spit out of his mouth.

I can understand that a lot more. But this wasn't a dry spit. It was a regular wet saliva spit.

I think those are both perfectly legitimate reasons for hating someone. Also...I've been wondering... Who in Texas really likes the Texans? A dude that I grew up with plays for them but I never see any of their fans...Ever.

That's messed up. I'd say fight gross with gross, but I'd imagine he'd win, and it would not go well for your relationship or the cleanliness of your place, so I don't know. Just tell him that's gross, and if you ask anyone else they'll tell you the same.

The Texans don't have a BIG following...but they have a loyal one. There is a Dallas - Houston dynamic that is hard to explain briefly. Houston Oilers days: A Dallas game and a Houston game were going to be on at the same time and same network (both on either the AFC or NFC channel) -Station was going to run the Dallas game b/c it got better ratings than Houston games -people get pissed -station does a poll...Houston wins -another station is 'allowed' to run the Dallas game -Dallas still gets better ratings in houston ...shows that there are not that many Houston fans (more Dallas fans and a lot of Saints fans)...but they are loyal...that incident is like their rallying cry...but no one hates the Texans (most Texas people root for them as well...just don't really care though)

I knew one person who would spit on their very own carpet. It's actually a little disturbing to be honest. I like my home to be clean, and spitting on your own floor / carpet doesn't really fit in with being clean. I wonder what else your roommate does on the carpet??? LOL
