We have at least over a foot of snow here and its still snowing like crazy. unshoveled snow on the streets and sidewalks by the school and they still have the nerve to open it. I drove by the school all ready and seen only one person with 2 cars parked on the school parking lot and it was 3 mins before the bell was gonna ring. I turned around immediately and went back home.
When I was in High School near Seattle, we would sometimes get crazy snow storms. One year we only went to school a couple days in December because of all the days off and Winter Break.
have you not seen the news? The North is covered in it. Delays on just about every major inter-county motorway. Now if it would only move down south... :(

Unfortunately for me college really never cancels classes. Last night one of my dormmates screwed with all the clocks in my room and I didn't notice until like 10 minutes ago when I missed my first class.
Heh. That school is crazy. We had an ice storm last night and we got a 2 hour delay.jjj13
So it may be due to the fact that I pulled an all nighter but for some reason I read that and thought it said you had an "ice cream" storm and all I could think was, yummy...
maybe the school should of shoveled the roads and sidewalks... i've had that the roads were so bad there were traffic jams the bus never came til like 11 there was barely anybody on it when i looked out the window. teachers said that there were only like half the students there
My district got closed for a pretty weak ice storm. It's not surprising though. We've had school closed because it was most likely going to snow, and it never did.
im on a snowday atm... we only had like 1/4 inch of snow but everything is ice...
sucks for liek the last 9 years, we get like nothing but a little ice if that... yet every other place around us gets like a foot of snow... like last night, in my whole state, we were one of 2 countys not in a storm warning...
last year... we had a rly bad ice storm... out of the i thinnk like 200 schools called of, we wernt one of em(0noyl like 5% of schools wernt)
Haha. I live in washington state about 30 minutes from seattle and we got a snowday on tuesday for about 2-3 inches. But then when we get like 6 or more they will have 2 hour delay or just regular schedule so i dunno about our administrations ability.
I'm not sure whether or not my school closed. All I saw was a 2 hour day, and decided I'm not going. 2 hour delays are a load of garbage, you either close or you don't close.

Mid michigan?! Same here! Yeah, we definitely got every bit of six inches where I live too! And school is closed! Although I only had one class today, so it wasn't that big of a deal.
The county north of me is in a state of emergency and I haven't had school for two days (Washington State U). City busses are closed. I have snow over the bumpers on my car. Too bad I still have to walk the 2-ish miles to lab later today to work on my thesis.
