Shes in her first year of university and she went out today to buy her laptop, with my help she found a great one (this one:http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...470&catid=#) and she just left to go buy it. She calls me up asking me how much I paid for my flash drive, I tell her I got my 8gb on sale for $20 at bestbuy, shes like ok and hangs up. She calls me again saying shes getting the laptop, and futureshop will set up Microsoft office basic, Norton security and "optimize" her system for her for $249.99 before tax before the price of all those programs put in. With all those programs put in she'll be paying $449.99 before tax extra on top of the $730 for the laptop its self.
Hold in your laughter please, it gets better.
I tell her not to go for it, I can easily install every program you'll need and these people are idiots for even suggesting that. Shes argues with me asking me if I know how to "optimize her system" and saying how if they do it there it will be better. I keep telling her not to get it and how it wont be refundable and then she gets mad and says shes buying it and shes smart because they are throwing in the flashdrive for free. She ends up paying all together around $1100 for a $730 dollar laptop. I was mad as hell for like 10 mins but now im pretty apathetic to the situation as they are her student loans and she'll have to pay them back.
