[QUOTE="mark4091"]I live in Calgary Alberta as some of you may or may not know, for you who don't it's a city of about 1.1 million people, anywayz onSaturday I was woken up late at night by a low flying fighter, I was shocked for a moment, then just thought it was a one time thing, now there are a few air bases, but the f18's usually stay away. Then the next day I was working on my car in my alley and I see two fighter fly by really low, I quickly realize it's just the fly over for the big football game. but they have been doing constant flying since then, you can see them literally everywhere in the city all day, I have learned they are British RAF tornados getting mountain flying training.
My question to you is, does air traffic keep you up at night? or in my case fighter jets.....
MrGeezer
Not usually.
Occasionally I'll get woken up for a second by the Blue Angels flyingby, but like I said, that's generally just a second. You hear that really quick scream, and then it's immediately gone so that I can go back to sleep.
There was only one time that air traffic ever pissed me off. See, I live on the same street as an elementary (or grade) school. The actual school building is a ways down the road, but the actual school yard is only about 300 feet from my home.
So anyway, one day there's all kinds of chaos going on outside my window. And it's 7 AM so I'm still asleep. But for a good 20 minutes, I hear helicopter sounds coming from right outside my ****ing bedroom. Eventually I decide to get up and see what's going on.
So I get up, walk to my front door, and look out. And I see a helicopter in the schoolyard. Blades still running. A crowd of people standing around it.
And I'm thinking "this better be ****ing good. I'd better see them lift some dead kid out of there. "
So I'm standing around waiting to see what happens. Then Santa Claus steps out of the helicopter.
Yes, ****ing Santa Claus.
And I swear, it's a good thing I didn't own any guns because otherwise I would probably be on death row right now. That **** pissed me off more than you can imagine. If those kids wanted to see Santa Claus, they can go to the ****ing mall. Meanwhile I'm working 75 ****ing hours a week, I get about 3 hours of sleep a day at most, and I have to wake up to that **** just because I live in the ghetto? Would anyone EVER authorize that kind of **** to happen at 7 AM in a well-to-do upper middle class neighborhood?
Man, **** Santa Claus. Santa Claus can go to hell.
LMAO~!!!! that sux balls~why would someone let a 7 am santa claus drop off??
