I am a big fan of the turtles and was excited at the release. Starting with the previews, i was surprised to see that an Underdog movie is coming out in the summer (ownage). The voice work was top notch, inluding Patrick Stewart and Sarah Michelle Gellar plus others. The plot was nice and original, no Shredder so its different. The animation and fights are absolutely amazing. I loved the CG look, it was great. Aside from some obligatory corny jokes and the lack of focus on Michelangelo (my favorite) and Donatello (who has a hilarious intro) because the movie focuses more on Raphael and Leonardo, I can't complain. My one main gripe was the voices of Kurai and Splinter (you will see what i mean if you see it), otherwise if you have ever seen a Ninja Turtle movie or liked them it is a must see. Also it chronologically follows the movie as a follow up to the third one, hence the lack of Shredder as he died in the 2nd film.
All I have to know is that it was made by the Weinstein company (the harbringers of doom that brought us Hoodwinked and Doogal)... I shant be seeing it.
I really have no interest in seeing this movie because I saw the original live action movie when I was younger and that is all I need. This newer CGI version of TMNT doesn't really interest me, but after reading what you wrote, I might get it on DVD. I saw shooter today instead and it was quite entertaining.

Anyway, if you didn't like the turtles already, this won't do anything. However, this movie was way better than I could have expected. That had some of the best CGI I've seen and awesome action in addition to everything you would expect in a good turtles movie. I'm feeling like a lot of the people who didn't like it just didn't get that the whole movie is a joke and that if you take it seriously you are missing the whole point.

same here... i love the movie..its offically my favorite TMNT flick...and its far from a kids movie too...either for long time fans and new ones...the critics are douche bags and never like the turtles..the movie rocked...and about the previews being crappy..they looked awesome to me...Everyone at the movie theatre where i was went to go see TMNT..
