Ok this is my first topic, & I'm wondering If I should get a Myspace, Facebook, of neither. You see I dont know what the difference is between the two, & I dont know if it just a waste of time 2 get either! So tell me, which do you prefer & why!?!?

I think that Facebook is way better. MySpace has always been a big popularity contest, if you ask me. It's all about posting bulletins (mostly with lame surveys) and seeing who can score the most picture comments. Facebook seems more sophisticated to me. It's used by students for the most part. There's a lot to do on there and it's kind of a nice way to get to know the people around you. :)
It wouldn't hurt joining both and seeing for yourself.
I personally use Myspace more, simply because I have more friends on it, and Facebook I have less, and most of them are pretty much the same people I already have on Myspace.

gamespot is more of a waste of time imo. Facebook I comment a few friends and i'm off after 15 minutes whereas gamespot specifically OT you come here when you're bored. Facebook is easily more useful in terms of staying connected with friends and family
Myspace is better for music related stuff... you can add music artists as friends, send messages to music artists, and so on. But for socializing amongst people I actually know I prefer facebook.
I'm not particularly social and I've never even seen a Facebook account. I do have a MySpace account but I pretty much use it just to track bands, artists, and art collective. So far I've found that it's really good for keeping tabs on small and low profile bands and I've even received an invitation or two to appear in their videos which was rather nice.

Yep... everyone at my office and all the offices we deal with has facebook but only a handful have myspace and very few of them use it. Even our clients are on facebook...
They are pretty much the same, but I like Myspace more. Mostly people in college, highschool, and middle school have myspace's, lotta bands and artists too. Facebook, I had one but not a whole lot of my friends do, and its exactly the same thing. Just ask your friends what they have.
They are both ridiculous. Having had both at one time, I can honestly say it is like high school on the web; it is so clichish and annoying it is disgusting. The only somewhat interesting thing about either is that there are some interesting quizzes you can take, but you don't have to join a social networking site to take those. I'd say neither dude.
I have both. I use facebook more frequently because most of my actual family and friends are on it, and I also like to play on some of the apps. I do still like and keep my myspace, however. It's good for meeting new people, online friends, or for keeping track of bands, clothing brands, or anything else. It allows you to be more anonymous, as facebook displays your full real name. So again, both, simply because they have different advantages that suit different purposes.
