Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years, you've probably heard of Myspace. I'm interested in hearing some opinions on the subject of whether or not it's a useful site. Personally, I think it's a bad idea because what it basicly is, is just clicking on a page, having your router explode due to the overuse of pictures on profiles, listen to crappy music, and get friends requests every 5 minutes.
I admit I used to use it quite frequently, but I got into college, and to keep up with my friends that went to other states and friends back home, I use my Facebook. It's clean, efficient, and I don't have to bother with spam or friend invites from girls I don't know and don't want to know. I don't need a social network like either of them to survive, but Facebook is what I prefer.
To me, it's just another website on the internet. I don't understand why there's so much hate for it here on GS... emos and whatknot.. WTF. I've never seen an emo on MySpace! :lol: Maybe cause I don't go looking for em; IDK.
It was nice way back when... now its stinkin boring... I dont use it anymore... It's in my sig(and Ive gotten 50 more views because of it) but honestly ive been to my myspace 10 times in the last 5 months... It's just there...
I'm pretty indifferent when it comes to Myspace. I do like it when it comes to checking out bands, but other than that... it just doesn't appeal to me at all.
I prefer Facebook, but once Facebook becomes the same garbage site that Myspace is (will happen when custom Facebook pages are created) I'll stop using both altogether.
I like my Facebook, and Facebook in general, as usually you find people around your age, not ten year old kids posing for profile pics. Though, occasionally, you find the seventh grader on Facebook and it's a bit annoying.
A lot of it is just attention seekers, I only have one because it's a better way to keep up with the majority of my friends since some of them refuse to get AIM... it's also good for looking up a lot of bands and meeting some new people, but other than that it's just really stupid. I'd rather use facebook, but I literally don't know ANYONE who has one. I don't spend that much time on mine, just check out all my stuff and go do something else. xD
Personally I think the world would be a much much better place if it had never existed.
