If it's not I'm sorry :( But I'm sure it is very recent at least hmm.No, I mean how is a building with sections news? Why are we supposed to care? It's a mysterious ancient structure... Like Stonehenge... But really i was expecting wings >.>[QUOTE="FMAB_GTO"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]

Yes. If a building has completely different architecture than everything else around it, that implies a different culture or at the least, something was special about it. Especially in Rome, where a majority of their buildings are based on arches. This is news? :?

It is news. Whether or not you think it's interesting is another story. Archaeology has always fascinated me. I feel like it's significantly more mundane when you're actually part of the field though. This is news? :?

Does anyone else ever get the feeling people of the past just designed odd looking structures just to troll future humans?
If it's not I'm sorry :( But I'm sure it is very recent at least hmm.No, I mean how is a building with sections news? Why are we supposed to care? What kind of question is that? You care if you care, otherwise you don't. I personally find the discovery of a mysterious ancient building rather interesting. I hate people who respond to anything mysterious with ridicule, such as the guy above who posted that stupid picture as if the article even mentions aliens.[QUOTE="FMAB_GTO"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]

Out of curiosity, do you know what the picture is from? For me, and quite a few other people, it was the first thing to come to mind.[QUOTE="FMAB_GTO"] If it's not I'm sorry :( But I'm sure it is very recent at least hmm.PernicioEnigma

I think it's pretty interesting. History is kinda a hobby of mine, especially Roman history.

More importantly, if they did, are we falling behind?
I find it kind of funny that all buildings are expected to follow some kind of absolute paradigm.
This might have been the ancient world's equivalent to our modern day's "hipster architect."

Coincidentally, they did find a fixie bike and some ancient Vampire Weekend recordings near the site.Im sure people had the same kinda laugh when they said the earth wasnt the center of the univere. You shouldn't point and make fun when it comes to things like aliens helping people in the past or anything that seems far fetched. In a years or a hundred you might look the fool.

It is news. Whether or not you think it's interesting is another story. Archaeology has always fascinated me. I feel like it's significantly more mundane when you're actually part of the field though. I'm sure it is. Using a pocket duster to uncover a building sounds really boring. This is news? :?

Especially in Rome, where a majority of their buildings are based on arches. How do they know that this building didn't have arches? I don't know. It may actually have arches. I was just mentioning that fact to explain how Rome engineered most of their buildings. The significant part was already mentioned, too. It has wings. Please Log In to post.
