Name Something Special That Happened on the Day You Joined GS?

What I mean is name a special event, holiday, or random happening that happened on the month and day you joined. Disregard the year you joined. For example if you joined July 4th, then a event you could pick is the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

I joined September 11th, the 9/11 Incident happened this day.

I don't remember what I did yesterday. :|

I joined on January 27th, 2006 and according to Wiki, here are some important events that happen on that day throughout history:

• In 1606, the trial of Guy Fawkes began (which ended with his death).
• The first women's fraternity was formed in 1870.
• Nuclear testing began at the Nevada Test Site in 1951 with a kiloton bomb being dropped in the Frenchman Flats.
• The Doors released their self-titled album in 1967.

It was the day before New Year's Eve.
