It's a tough choice, but I gotta pick the Star Wars series (John Williams)

A Clockwork Orange. Nothing else comes close, though I might just be saying that because the overture from "la Glazza Ladra" is one of my favourite pieces of classical music.
[QUOTE="Nerd_Man"][QUOTE="bluezy"]It isn't out yet, but Tron Legacy takes the cake. The entire score is being done by Daft Punk.bluezyNo. I'm terribly sorry I enjoy Daft Punk. You can't possibly say Tron Legacy has the best music when it doesn't even have any music at this point. To say something that currently doesn't exist is better than the rest is silly.
I completely forgot about that :P... I still think Star Wars has better music though.I like the Pirates series personally.

And it does have music, it just hasn't been released to the public yet.:P If I had to choose something that was already released, I suppose I'll just say Star Wars.[QUOTE="bluezy"][QUOTE="Nerd_Man"] No.Nerd_Man

I don't know if you know much about movies, but film scores are usually one of the last things they do for a movie. So as for Tron Legacy, the actual recording for the film might not start until 2010, a few months before the film is actually released.[QUOTE="bluezy"] I'm terribly sorry I enjoy Daft Punk.bluezy

So I don't know how far along they are, but it has certainly begun.

So I don't know how far along they are, but it has certainly begun. Well, a lot of times they do early stuff. I remember Pixar announced that Michael Giacchino was doing the score for Up about a year in advance. He didn't actually start the final score until at least a few month before its release. I think they like to announce these composers so early just so they can get people excited early on. If Daft Punk already did some stuff for the film this early on, you can't bet that they will be the same songs by time the film is out.
