Name Your Favourite Music Genre - And People Who Are Killing It

For me I love hip-hop/rap but now a days its dissapointment how materialistic it has becoming, the artist I hate and blame are:

Lil Wayne, Souja Boi, Jim Jones, Camron, Paul Wall

but thankfully there are a few good artist to listen to:

Lupe, Immortal Techinique, Common, Chamillionaire and the old but legendary guys Tupac, Nas,Biggie, Wu Tang, Dr Dre

I've got a couple.... As far as punk goes, scene bands like Green Day are really ruining the public's perception of the genre. But really, who gives a ****? Well, anyway...

Jazz... Well, I really dislike a lot of this soft jazz you hear on the radio. Even I'm begining to associate the word "jazz" with "elevator music", and that's rather unfortunate, given all the great jazz that's out there.

Reggae... Contrary to popular belief, I prefer reggae above all else. I've always felt that Bob Marley was the beginning of the end... There's a lot of great reggae out there, but too many people are molding themselves out of Bob Marley's image... It's depressing.

Death Metal.

Bands killing it: Nu-metal bands (although they really aren't killing the genre)

Metal. Uhm, people/bands that think they are Metal. Examples would be Killswitch Engage, Atreyu, etc.-Sniper99-

person: My favorite is From Autumn to Ashes, they rock!!!

Death Metal- Job for a cowboy, despised icon, see you next tuesday, ect. pretty much gay wannabe death metal bands who dont understand and appreciate the music that they are ruining

You could make the argument though that they are introducing more people to the real Death Metal bands. What do you think?

You claim to hate "all emo bands". What baffles me more than anything is actually baffling on two levels. The first level is the rater obvious level (My Chemical Romance not being good), but the other, clearly less obvious fact that My Chemical Romance isn't an emo band.

they are introducing more people to death metal, but i feel that they are the wrong people. people who used to listen to emo are now into "death metal" bands, they think that deathcore is the heaviest music and that breakdowns are so cool. but people who listen to real death metal laugh at that
