She da man!
"It was like I was walking on goo 'cause all the skin. My feet were just burned off."
Shelbyville Fire Chief Willard Tucker said there was a minute left before the boy would have died.

Nanny of the year confirmed?

Well, there is the matter of how the house caught on fire. If she wasn't at fault for that, then yes.

What I was thinking. If it was her fault and she didn't save the kid, the consequences of living with that would be worse than burnt feet.I don't want to make this political but it's a shame that she doesn't have health insurance.
"Myatt doesn't have health insurance and isn't sure how she will pay for the burn treatment she needs, which may include skin grafts on her feet."
Anyway, she is a very brave woman. Hopefully things will work out for her.

NowTonicwants to raise money for the woman it calls the real Super Nanny. The site has pledged $20,000 and is asking readers to chip in $10 each to help Myatt with her medical expenses."
Hey conservatives, our healthcare system is SOOOOO great isn't it? Yep, we don't need universal healthcare or reform at all. Nope, not when our heros are treated like that!
Wait she can't pay the bills? What about the parents of the kid? They should offer to pay since she did save their child.starmetroid
To be fair the fire did start on her watch which suggests that she probably had something to do with it in the first place.
Am I a horrible person for laughing at this? :lol:Damn, that's pretty impressive. That's quite the feat.
( I couldn't resist, I'm awful  )

Thats awesome. But I just HAVE to say it. SHES 22?! No offense but she looks 40.

that lady is not 22....weezyfb
Look at the NBC video all the way at the bottom. The woman in that video is the one who ran through the fire and flames to save the child
(Another pun, I'm so going to hell because of this thread...)

Atleast I have company now. :D
I'm sort of neutral on this subject. It's great she saved a child, but what if she was the one who started it? She was the one who put the child in danger in the first place. If she didn't start the fire, then she's a nice person. :PMr_Cumberdale
Well, I think we can all agree that this is a very heart-warming story.
Sorry, I just had to make a pun. :P
ghoklebutter
Lord what have I started... D:
