NASA Anoucment today

What do you think the BIG announcement will be about Mars. We will found out in 1 hour approx. 16:30 GMT time. Think that be in middle of the night for the US. A lot say running water or microscopic life found.

I've seen most people say water, but if it were microscopic life that'd be awesome!

Finding life, of the extraterrestrial kind would be one of the greatest discoveries in human history.

No they believe they found flowing water. What load of bull. They need more funding as he just said there sending people to Mars soon. So they got to come up with something worth while and saying we believe is not the truth. I turned it off after 5 mins.

Fascinating. My perception of mars changed once again. I wonder what causes it. The 3 theories they came up with certainly feels more plausible than what I would have thought, I wonder how this will develop.

Well there goes my theory of it being the secret UAC base having lost contact with Earth and the moon Deimos having vanished.

NASA is now getting criticized (in some quarters, no big by any means) for building up expectations, guess no one cares about water. Got to say, I do find it peculiar that they waited until Monday and didn't release the information during the weekend probably to have a bigger audience today; the problem is now the next there might not be as big of a reception since some felt let down.

Lesson learned, instruments aren't the only thing you gotta calibrate.

Let down? Finding flowing water on Mars is incredible. It's some of the best news we could have heard from Nasa regarding their Mars exploration missions.

That would be very difficult because they said no life like creatures would be able to sustain life because there is so much salt in the water. Basically that is why it does not freeze there.
