Do you think that humans act out of human nature or human nurture? I personally believe in nurture because of feral children. They are kids who grew up with/by animals and act basically nothing like a person, they act exactly like the animal who took them in.

it's a little of both...obviously. take studies on identical twins separated at birth for example.

I would say it's a mix. There are some traits that are inherant and they can be used or perhaps the child will never ever use them. Because being raised in certain conditions can change alot of things about a person.

Well obviously both play an important rule in how someone developes.

I have to say nature has the biggest role, however. After all, there were TONS of attempts to turn gay people straight back in the day, and they all failed. Not to mention that with the stigmas society holds against gay people, there really is no reason as to why someone would WANT to be gay...

1st Nature. Instinct. Whether Moral or Immoral defined by human perceptions. 2nd Nurture. Upbringing. Defined by the Societies Culture within that individuals social circle. What is a newborns first instinct? What does it Know. What does it learn. A B C D E F G Dogs go Woof and cats go Pee

Sorry, but I've seen this said many times and it really is one of the worst arguments I've ever heard. Of course some people would want to be gay Otherwise, why do people dress goth or emo? Why do you have guys dress up as 'gangstas?' Why do people dye their hair odd colors such as pink and blue?

It really doesn't matter what negative social stigmas there are as long as someone wants attention. I'm not saying people do or don't choose to be gay but if it were possible, there would be some who would.

are you in Miss O'gradies English class? we were given this as a homework task so either your in my english class too or this is a massive co-inky dink:)

I personally believe that nurture has the most influence...

but its wrong to rule out the "nature" aspect aswell as people grow up "just being gay or having an overwhelming desire to join the other sex.... yet they will have almost certainly grown up in an environment where transexuals and gays are the targets ofa lot of hostility. I certainly know that thats the case in my school and area in general....
