Holy!!! I just got accepted into an Architecture program and found a link to Mandatory Laptop Specifications!

2.16 Ghz Intel Core 2Duo

2 GB Ram

100 GB Hard Drive

DVD RW Drive

Adobe CS3 Design Standard (Includes Photoshop. Illustrator, inDesign, and Acrobat Pro) (just checked price = $1800.00)

AutoCad 2008 (just checked price = $3995.00

Microsoft Office

So I guess I'll have to spend about $8000.00-$9000.00 on the computer and software! Crazy! :shock:

Anyone have any ideas of how to get lots of money fast, or get these things cheaper?! :D

Well AutoCad LT 2008 is about $900.00, but AutoCAD 2008 (which seems to be the required version) is $3995.00!). I really don't understand why any computer program needs to be that expensive.

Yeah, I see that now. I'm not sure why they are so expensive. My company just bought a new Medical program that logs all of our business for several million. I'll never understand why it costs so much. Anyway, I'm sure you can take out a student loan of some sort.
