I need you "yes, you" to be very understanding.

I'm having a scholarship in this upcoming February 2012 with my sister, it's sill undecided which country I'm going to, but it's eiher Britain or Scotland "East Angeilla University, Britain or University of Aberdeen, Scotland" it depends on my sister's university's because she is a doctor there and they're sending her abroad to continue her education alongside with me.

I'm not worried about how things will go when I go there because I'm pretty sure everything will work out just fine.

I come from Saudi Arabia where culture is very strict and so is religion. Where government separates males and females. I personally haven't talked/seen other girls in my whole life "I'm 21 years" other than my family members like sisters and cousins. My only concern is this How am I going to behave around people there? and girls? I used to work in an English Institute as a receptionist and an English teacher was talking to me about it "He was American" He told me "How are you gonna react in front of girls? In front of people over there?? It's a different world out there?"

I tried to reply but my mouth was shut, I didn't know what to say.

Is my cultural background going to affect my behavior over there ? I'm not an extremist at all and I kinda hate all this sexisms that is happening in my country.

As long as you don't smell bad, make strange noises, or tell girls to make you sandwiches or clean your apartment you will do fine.

My sister went to law school with a guy from Saudi Arabia and he went out to the bars and drank beer with us. He basically said what happens outside Saudi Arabia stays outside. So follow the rules of wherever you go basically.

Follow the principles of equality and you'll encounter the same culture shock as any other international student.
