Need help with ipod...............

My ipod is experiencing problems.On my ipod it says there is 1.21GB ofspace already used up out of 2GB, butI do not have any songs on there at all.

its probly the length of the songs, or if u have anything else on there (photos, etc). those take up a lot too.

First of all...photos take up almost no space at all. Second of all, he said he doesn't have any songs on his iPod yet and even if he did the "length of the songs" you mentioned would have to be about 15 each to fill up over half of the iPod. If I were you I'd call Apple and see about getting your iPod sent it to get fixed. I wouldn't put any songs on it until you know the problem cause you don't want it to mess up and delete all your songs.

It won;t show anything, it says its 1.2GB but theres no songs, photos etc and when i try to add songs, it won't let me.

Is that the formatting space? Because they never really ship with 2GB. But that sounds like it would be a bit much for that. Just an idea.

I had that problem a while back with my old iPod mini.  I'm pretty sure I just had to click "Restore" (on the iPod interface in iTunes), which got rid of that problem. :)
