k im not that good at this but i did it like 2 months ago and i did ok on the test. SOHCAHTOA has three parts to it , a triangle is made up of three parts the longest part is the hypotnuse the side right across from it is that adjecent and the other one is the opposite.i use sohcahtoa as a fraise, some old hippie, caught another hippie, taking opeum again, SOH or sin you need to divide the opposite over the hypotnus, to get the COS or sosine you divide the adjacent over the hypotnuse, the TAO is the tangent, you find that out by dividing the opposite by the adjacent.Â
sin A=Â opposite over hypotnuse
cos A= adjacent over hypotnuse
tan A=Â opposite over adjacent
i usually only use a basic calculator for the dividing. you should have like a paper that has all the sin cos and tan on them depending on the angle measurement of one side.
for the other things.
for example if i have 3 points (1,0) (2,1) and (3,2) i think you either switch the two numbers and multply b the x integer by -1 or do that with the y integer.
sorry if i just confused you more, im just in 7th grade honors and still learning.                                                   Â
