A fraction that is undefined is #/0 because any number devided by zero is infinite.

SOHCAHTOA: Sine = Opposite/Hypotenuse, Cosine = Adjacent/Hypotenuse, Tangent = Opposite/Adjacent

elmetfano

slope intercept form: y = mx + b

m is the slope and b is the y-intercept (where the line crosses the y-axis).

sin-1 is the arcsine I believe...which lets you find the angle.

fraction is undefined when the denominator equals 0

soh = sin = opposite divided by hypotenuse

cah = cos = adjacent divided by hypotenuse

toa = tangent = opposite divided by adjacent

 if you have a triangle, the angle across from the right angle is the hypotenuse

the angle right next to the angle your trying to find/using is the adjacent angle

the angle completely opposite of the angle your trying to find/using is the opposite

 Easy, just let X be 0

 What is the y intercept?

let 'x' = 0

y = 2/5 (0) + 4

y = -0.4 (0) + 4

y = 4

Therefore, the y intercept of the line whose equation is y= - 2/5 + 4 is 4

 SOH - CAH - TOA, basic Trigonometry; an acronym used to remember the 3 basic functions: sine, cosine, tangent

SOH = Sin = Opposite / Hypotenuse

CAH = Cosine = Adjacent / Hypotenuse

TOA = Tangent = Opposite / Adjacent

k im not that good at this but i did it like 2 months ago and i did ok on the test. SOHCAHTOA has three parts to it , a triangle is made up of three parts the longest part is the hypotnuse the side right across from it is that adjecent and the other one is the opposite.i use sohcahtoa as a fraise, some old hippie, caught another hippie, taking opeum again, SOH or sin you need to divide the opposite over the hypotnus, to get the COS or sosine you divide the adjacent over the hypotnuse, the TAO is the tangent, you find that out by dividing the opposite by the adjacent.

sin A= opposite over hypotnuse

cos A= adjacent over hypotnuse

tan A= opposite over adjacent

i usually only use a basic calculator for the dividing. you should have like a paper that has all the sin cos and tan on them depending on the angle measurement of one side.

for the other things.

for example if i have 3 points (1,0) (2,1) and (3,2) i think you either switch the two numbers and multply b the x integer by -1 or do that with the y integer.

sorry if i just confused you more, im just in 7th grade honors and still learning.

y=-2/5x + 4

so the slope is 2/5 (down two to the left 5??)

y=-2/5x + 4

so the slope is 2/5 (down two to the left 5??)

elmetfano

down two to the right 5... if you do to the left 5 you are making both the 2 and 5 negative thus making it positive (when you divide a negative by a negative you get a positive)...

Not sure what those are... but

x1= -2, x2= 2

-2 * 2 - 5 * 2= 6
