Ok, I barely know how to use my washing machine so please don't make fun of the situation.

I wanted to wash a single pair of sweat pants and not knowing what the hell i'm doing, I put the machine on a small load at the normal washing speed. I then find out that the pants require cold water, not hot, so I take them out. The problem is I now have some soapy water just sitting there in the washer. So, is there a way I can drain the unused water out?

Please, try not to flame me for this.

Let it finish it's load and start over. Assuming your washing machine automatically rinses out the old water after every cycle like mine.

dirty clothes go inside it.

After they get cleaned, they will be wet. Put them in the dryer (drahy-er).

So I just let the washer continue it's load with nothing inside of it and it will get rid of the water?

I don't know about you snooty English and your maids and such, but here in [North] America we use the washing machine ourselves and children even know how to use them.

I'm worried because I don't want to screw the washing machine up, my parents will be pissed.

No no, a bag of concrete mix'll do the trick.

Grab a bucket and start taking the water out of the washer, you could also use a system to lift the washer machine over a nearby drain, flip the machine and let all of the water go...

Read the manual, gamespot has some very smart people but we don't know everything...wikipedia does.

Both good ideas but both incorrect. Put 8-10 fluffy kittens in the machine and close the lid until the cycle is finished. They will absorb all the water and come out as fresh as a summer breeze. :D

Why not all three?

Is the door in front or on the top? And is it in the middle of a cycle?

And get cat hair all over the rocks and concrete? Apparently you don't do much laundry.

I've made plenty of batches of catcrete I'll have you know.
