Good advice. The point of a first date is to get to know the person. Kind of hard to do when you're thrust into a setting that doesn't permit conversation. Coffee shop and a walk around town is a great idea.

Like I said before, the fact that you come to an Internet forum for advice shows your lack of confidence and self-esteem, which will not get your far. Work on that.

But as for a first date idea, why not just a cup of coffee, or lunch at the cafe between classes? Just remember don't be nervous. Be yourself, be natural, don't force anything. If she senses that you are uneasy, she becomes uneasy as well, and the bad experience will prevent her from wanting to hang out with you.

Just go grab a coffee with her and see how it goes. If you two don't have any sparks, then move on for someone else. Don't be obsessed by her pretty face. If it is just a piece of meat you are after, she would be right to say no to you.

If said class requires studying, set up a time with her to study at a library or something.

It's funny because I did that very same thing today, it's a great way to talk even if just somewhat quietly, and it doesn't give off that sort of vibe that you're moving in too quickly. But of course, Starbucks works wonders too. :P

With a card inside that says
