I have smoked before but not very much, and I think the last time I smoked may have been about a year ago.

But anyhow for the last few days I have been reading more and more about the stuff, and I have noticed that I can't really find anything negative worth mentioning for light marijuana smoking. Since all the drawbacks I have found are only found in fiarly heavy to heavy smokers. So can anyone tell me any negatives to light marijuana smkoing. I'm not trying to prove a point, just wondering. Please source your claims if you can.

Also this is not to be a debate on marijuana being illegal, just the health effects.

By light smoking I mean anywhere from only a few times a year to say once a week.

Well as with any smoke inhalation your run some health risks. If you use it sparingly, like a cigar smoker smokes cigars, you would probably be fine. If you want a real negative though, losing your job should be high on the list. Also it is a gateway drug. Some people get hooked on the high (mentally) and then they need more.

Yeah theres no real negatives for smoking in light amounts, some negatives may occur if the user smokes it daily.

The only negative I can think of is you begin to realize all the time you wasted not smoking weed.

Depends on your personality really; some people can experience paranoia. I know indica strains are supposed to be less likely to produce anxiety and raised heart rate than sativa strains.

Not to start a whole debate but studys have shown marijuana to not be a gateway drug. Not to say that some people don't grow a dependence to the stuff.

That's great. A whole lot more studies have said it is.

Only downside is that some people will look down on you because of it
