I'm pretty sure he was not ban dodging, I DO know that he had another account here by the name of jachichoro, but made a new one because he didn't like that one.

I think this is a misunderstanding. Tiger used an old account before neon-tiger called jachichorro. under the circumstances that could have been called ban-dodging, but he had informed mailer in a thread back at christmas. so now I'm PM'ing mailer. So I wasn't imagining things. Maybe since he made that comment about ban dodging, couple with it being an alt account they just assumed he was ban-dodging. Seems most likely.

I dont see why he would be ban dodging, an account with 5K posts. Thats some dedication for one account. If he did have another account then I dont think hes used it.

Yes, the phrasing seems to just be poor. The response "Community privileges I got taken away when banned" seems to be answering the hypothetical quesiton "What will you gain by ban dodging?" as opposed to professing what he actually did gain (if he had) by ban dodging.

I mean, the guy was just posting not more than 20 minutes ago. How could the mods know so quickly? I was under the impression they had to ask the admins first to check a user's IP before they banned someone if ban-dodging is the issue. Could be wrong but I thought that's how it worked.

Well if they actually assumed he was 'ban dodging' because of that post and banned him for that, then that's the most ridiculous mod action I've seen on this site. Whoever did that should resign his/her internet cop status.

I sort of don't understand how such often OTers get banned AFTER they get known. It's like, why wouldn't they have offended before they were known when they were new, rather to getting banned after being fine and safe, at least long enough for people to know them.
