Yeah, that was one of the rumors...we have to be 15 1/2 to "get" our permit, and 16 by the end of the drivers ed class to get our liscense.BrendanBox39
In Massachusetts its 16 for permit and 16 1/2 for a liscence, and they were thinking about making it 17 for a permit. It wouldn't have affected me though, as I already had my permit at the time.
Damn you, Cube O' Moon, EVERYONE gets by the age cut but me. (well, and most of the other freshmen) Jk. Well, a half a year difference isnt too bad...but c'mon...getting my liscense in junior year? PfftBrendanBox39
Yay for being grandfathered in... :P
It's 17 here in Jersey, and many restrictions too. Which is good, because the idea of seeing 15 and 16 year olds on the roads scare me.DarKre
For me, its more the kids who have no fear in them whatsoever, the very ones who drive 70-80 down back roads...
The real bummer is, I was only a year away from a liscense, and now I will be two. It's much bigger of an impact if you view it that way, like, I was soooo close, then it was taken away from me. BrendanBox39
Well if the law has not been passes yet, you should not worry yet. Just promise me you won't be driving 70-80 down back streets and driving drunk... like many of the kids in my school...

If thats the case...dont come to Arkansas. Here, its 14 for a permit, and 16 for license. When i was 14, i was thinking hell yeah I get to drive, but now, i'm worried, looking at the 14 year olds here, they dont seem mature enough to operate something that can endanger so many lives. It's a scary thought.
