Whats up with on the Horror scene? I used to watch horror movies all the time but I've sort of stopped and now I think I will get back into but are any of the new horror movies good? I saw Pandorum and loved it but I have no idea of what other newer ones are meant to be decent.

I really liked Pandorum as well. The only 2 horror movies I would throw out there for you to check out are Splice and Frozen. I have yet to watch Splice but it had good reviews and I have heard decent things. I have seen Frozen and its not exactly a horror movie but its close enough and is a good suspenseful film.

edit - Actually I also recommend the movie Splinter. It airs on SyFy alot lately but I recommend actually watching the dvd version or what have you. That was a really good movie

Yeah I was looking at Splinter the other day it looked alright. My favourite horror movies would be, The Hills Have Eyes, Dog Soldiers, Feast and theres a few others I can't name at the moment. I don't mind thrillers but I more of a Horror/Action fan, my favourite movie of all time is probably Constantine.

I loved Dog Soldiers and the first Feast. Constantine was actually a good movie (least I thought so), I watched most of it again last night. You ever seen the movie Ginger Snaps. Decent werewolf movie but its kinda old

Yeah I've got Ginger Snaps, good werewolf movie along with Cursed. I haven't seen any the sequels to Feast. Are they decent? Or did they ruin it. Which reminds me is Descent 2 any good? I liked the first one a lot and didn't mind The Cave.

The sequels to Feast ruin it and are really really bad. The ending of the third is just so bad that if I we're to describe it here you would probably smash your head into your desk. No joke :P

I have yet to watch Descent 2 but I have been meaning to

It's a shame they ruined it, it is a great movie, Feast is definetely an underated movie none of my friends have seen it but I am slowly showing them all. Anyway I will definetely have a look at Splinter, Splice and these so called Cube movies, not sure about The Mutant Chronicles though I watched a trailer a while back and it looked kin of corny, and I was so close to borrowing botched once then I thought nah it just looks like an action movie.

My problem with any recent horror is that gore =/= horror. Alfred Hitchcock knew how to scare me. New horror movies don't.

I don't watch horror movies to get scared though, I watch them because I like them. Alfred Hitchcock movies are a bit out of my generation I don't think i would enjoy them. The only movie that has ever really scared me was I.T and it didn't really scare me that much just made me hate clowns.

The Human Centipide is a pretty good horror movie. So manyhorror moviestoday go for at least a few laughs, not this one.A great movie for those who think "They don't make horror movies like they use to."

Avoid Rob Zombie horror movies by the way, boring stuff.

I'm not so sure about The Human Centipede, I think some movies cross the line like FEED so I refuse to watch them. Yeah I saw House of 1000 corpses and that movie is the definition of WTF.

well the mutant chronicles is a low budget movie, but it's still interesting IMO.botched is a action/comedy/horror which considering the fact that you liked feast,i assume you'll like it alot.also i'd recommend you to check these out aswell: deatchwatch, deadgirl, hightension, martyrs, may and naboer.
