Does anyone know when Apple will be releasing them? There were rumors of them last week, and now that Apple has comfirmed it and shown pictures. I was wondering if anyone knew when they are comming out. I read a few articles but I couldn't find it.

Really? Seems gimmicky.
Gimmicky? How many times have you had to search through tons of menus to shuffle your song. It would be so much easier to just shake it. A great idea on Apples part.

Yeah, I'm glad they went back to the first and second gen shape, but that shake feature is silly. I can see it going off if you're riding a bike and you hit a bump, or if you have an overly active gait while walking or something.
It'll be cool once or twice when you can shake it in front of someone who's not tech-savvie and say "it's shuffling!" but beyond that I don't see it being of much use.
