My mom picked up two kittens from a shelter, and I must say that they are adorable. After some research, I found out that they may be chartreux (Sh?r-TRUE) cats: a highly intelligent and affectionate breed. They have a solid silvery greyish coat with a bluish tone, which could make then a few things including a russian blue, british shorthair, and chartreux. They also have amber eyes, which cancels out the russian blue. They also don't have a round head, which cancels out the british shorthair. The only thing it could be is a chartreux! They also have faint stripes on the tails, which is also normal for young chartreuxs. Also, the kittens always seem to have a smile on their face, which is another clue that it's a chartreux. Their fur type and body type also fits in.

I have acouple questions for anyone who knows about cats. First, is there another cat that could fit in with what I described? Second, are there experts that can tell you what breed you have without charging an arm and a leg?

Since we're already on the subject, I do have one more question. I'll be going to college for next year, and I'm afraid the cats will forget about me and not really consider me their owner if I just stop by every other weekend. Do you think we will still have the same bond if I am with them for a year?

early times are the most important, hold them and try to make them sleep in your bed. Play, feed them, etc... they'll remember... I always made sure my cats were very close to me while still young, one problem is that some of them were only trusting me and no one else later on...

nyways i'm very tired, g'night and take good care of the kittens.

Thanks man. I still wish they were mine and not my parents'. I think she's just using theem to make me come home on the weekends and stop by after college. She knows my weakness!
