My mom picked up two kittens from a shelter, and I must say that they are adorable. After some research, I found out that they may be chartreux (Sh?r-TRUE) cats: a highly intelligent and affectionate breed. They have a solid silvery greyish coat with a bluish tone, which could make then a few things including a russian blue, british shorthair, and chartreux. They also have amber eyes, which cancels out the russian blue. They also don't have a round head, which cancels out the british shorthair. The only thing it could be is a chartreux! They also have faint stripes on the tails, which is also normal for young chartreuxs. Also, the kittens always seem to have a smile on their face, which is another clue that it's a chartreux. Their fur type and body type also fits in.
I have acouple questions for anyone who knows about cats. First, is there another cat that could fit in with what I described? Second, are there experts that can tell you what breed you have without charging an arm and a leg?
Since we're already on the subject, I do have one more question. I'll be going to college for next year, and I'm afraid the cats will forget about me and not really consider me their owner if I just stop by every other weekend. Do you think we will still have the same bond if I am with them for a year?
