Points of Authority was the only song of theirs I ever really liked

They're of the Emotive Hardcore genre? Oh yippy, that means it might be good!

 lol, I love people throwing around a word that refers to a long dead genre of Punk that has nothing to do with angst themed  modern Punk/Rock music.

As for this LP album, don't care at all for the band, doubt I'll hear this album. Might give it a single listen just so I can say for sure that I dislike it. haha

I really dont like the new song. I liked hybrid theory the best, Meteora was really good, different, but good, this new one seems like its gone fallout boyish...ice_radon

Mike Shinoda do rap in it but less than in the previous albums. he rap in "Bleed it out" and "Hands held high", and sing (don't rap) in "In between".

Yeah, The rising tide is the only rap album I really liked. But if you guys want more rapping you can check the special edition of minutes to midnight that contains bonus tracks, which feature Mike Shinoda, as opposed to many of the songs which now only have Shinoda doing backing vocals.

Not :P BUT...cos the world has gone way over the top about the whole emo thing this album is gnna get soo much crap about being Emo because like 2/3 of the songs are SLOW......still an awesome album though...and tis not emo :PBassPlayingKing
