I really don't see the appeal with Twilight. The whole thing is basically some unpopular teenage girl`s crazy vampire sex fantasy.

Not surprised New moon is a hit with a lot of people. Idk why it bothers haters so much though its not like they have any interest in seeing it.

I still don't even know what Twilght is. From what I gather, it has something to do with sparkling baseball playing vampires, but that's it.

It seems everyone has to voice their opinion, even if it's a rudely negative one. If they hate the Twilight Saga so much, why can't they just keep their opinions to themselves and leave us fans alone to enjoy it in peace?

It's not that it's twilight that bothers me about his, it's that New Moon is such a bad movie according to reviewers. I'm probably never going to see it, but judging from the reviews I heard, it sounds like it just isn't that good on its own merits. So somehow a bad movie rakes in the most money, what kind of message is that going to send to movie producers? What kind of movies will Hollywood try and create? Exceedingly good movies, or crappy movies that people go see anyway.

I love books. Their so under appreciated. To me it seems the movies never even come close to the quality of the book. Someone always has to take out the best parts and replace them with junk to make the movie more popular or interesting for all audiences.

No ones forcing you to see the crappy movies so what does it matter? Movie studios are still going to put out "crappy" movies and "good" movies just because new moon does well doesn't meant the end of cinema as we know it.

I don't know I was quite disappointed when Jackson removed Tom Bombadil from the movies.

I hate twilight anything. I hate people that love twilight. I hate the books. I hate the movies. I work in a movie theatre and I loathe any of you that came in on midnight and ran my ass over while I was trying to tear tickets. I loathe any of you that came to the movies yesterday and blocked the entire hallway so that I couldn't get through to actually clean-up a good movie, left a huge ass pile of trash for me to clean, or whined about someone talking when you damn well knew what you were getting into. All of this for one of the worst movies i have witnessed. I don't care if your a fan but be sensible and realize that most people don't care about some retard girl who loves werewolves and diamond covered vampires. So there is no need to tell everyone about how cool it is. This whole thing is getting out of control. So much stupid vampire crap is starting to come out.

2012 over the top mindless action with entirely improbable situations, but the "splosions" looked cool, and it was entertaining.

Never underestimate the female demographic. All I have to say is: "Titanic $600 million domestic box office, number 1 film of all time" No other film has captured women like Titanic did. New Moon seems to be able to get it too.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. We are tonight's entertainment. I only have one question. Where, is, Edward Cullen? Do you know where he is? *smack* Do you know where I can find Edward? I just need to talk to him about somethin', somethin' little. No? I'll settle for his loved ones!

All I could think when I saw the title was..

BATMAN > sparkly romantic vampires.

But...

Said "vampire"= romance.

Romance is, apparently, better than Batman. What else this bodes for the industry, I don't want to know.

One final note to leave on, girls at my school are like OMG I LUV EDWARD THAT VAMPIRE GUY I WISH HED MARRY ME *squeal*. Not to rain on your parade, but...

He already has a girlfriend. Plus, he's fictional.

I believe there is a section for classic films to buy on Demand, also a section for independent films in theaters. There is also a section under free movies for TCM.....

I don't think anyone ever could have expected it to make so much money opening weekend. I guess Hollywood makes sequels for a reason.

Thats what I thought when I heard the news, one of the signs of the apocalypse. However records are made to be broken, whether it is by a deserving movie or not. Shrek 2 made $441 million dollars, despite being a mediocre sequl, but built on the popularity of its predecessor like New Moon did. Granted I have not seen the movie, nor do I have any intention to, but the box office is booming. As a reminder, this weekend is poised to become the second largest weekend in movie history behind the weekend the Dark Knight was released.

TheDabe

What? Shrek 2 is one of the best animated sequels I have ever seen. It is in no way mediocre.

Because terrible movies often have tons of mass appeal (i.e. Transformers). This is far from the first time a terrible (allegedly...haven't seen it yet so I can't really judge) movie has become insanely popular.

Cause when you prance around the big screen for 2 hours without a shirt on it equals box office success.

Well, you see, it's very simply. Some people like apples, some prefer bananas; this is because not everyone's taste buds are identical. This also goes for taste in movies.

Its lame that a vampire movie like this would be so popular over ones like Lost Boys, and Interview with a Vampire which is infinitely better.. Instead we have a bunch of trendy teen models pretending to be some wierd varient of a popular horror icon.

Sad, because for the most part, The Dark Knight was a smart well written movie. It was kinda surprising to see it do so well at the box office. Even tho most people seemed to not understand most of the plot twists.

Of course because it has the resurrected form of Cedric Diggory in it.
