CD has been the main music format, maybe in the future music buying would be done virtually over music downloading sites (iTunes, Napster). Anyone think that CDs will always be avalible, upgrade to a new CD format, or all music buying and listening will be done virtually through internet and mp3 players?

I don't see why people pay for mp3 files instead of buying CDs. Downloading music is for loosers everyone!

I believe we'll most likely move forward to a more digital distribution method. CDs will probably still be around for years. I just hope vinyl doesn't die out anytime soon seeing as I try and collect that the most.

I still like CD's because they are forever, physical and really good quality!

The majors will probably move all digital withing the next few years.

Some indielabels will still put out vinyl because they know their customers want it.

For those who actually buy their music, as far as I'm concerned, nothing beats having the artwork in your hand. It feels more finished than just hitting a button and getting their music.
