I dislike the juggler the least, but if you try to darken the background a bit, the juggler will stand out more.

I really hate editing my photography. I like to show the viewer exactly as it was. And darkening wouldn't be the best option in my opinion. Having different lighting in the foreground and background makes it look fake. If anything, I would add a gaussian blur to the background.

Vancouver, BC. I have no idea why it happened, but when I was walking down the street I just saw mass chaos break out and I went over to take pictures. It was really weird.

The first one (hotel) is the best.

The juggler: Increase the shutter speed and wait for a moment of more action with his hands.

The snowboarder: Again increase the shutter speed; you'll need a tripod if the shot requires a shutter speed low enough to capture the action crisply.

The pillowfight: Instead of capturing a one or a few interesting moments, you've found a whole bunch of uninteresting ones. While it seems counterintuitive, the picture is not interesting to the eye: there are far too many points of focus, and it's cluttered.

I agree

I was in a rush and didn't have time to reshoot with the settings I wanted

I think you mean increase the shutter speed? Lowering creates blur.

Looking back that is true.

Thanks for the comments.

Yeah, I meant increase it. Sorry, I was thinking of terms of time and not speed for some reason.

One more thing I want to add, the snowboarder is on the edge of the screen, and it isn't really "leading the action"

I completely agree. I think I had my telephoto lens on and couldn't zoom out further and was slightly off when i fired the camera. I really wish I hadn't clipped the detail.

Well, it's bad cos you should blog it. Also, are you familiar with the concept of a double negative. You ask "dislike the least" which means "which one do you like". Chicago queen says they dislikes the Juggler the least which meansd they like it the most but then goes on to criticize it????

You should edit your photos in photoshop. Before photoshop, photographers would do stuff in the dark room to make their pictures better. What makes you think your camera gets the picture right in the first place if your so keen on "real life".

Any dimwit can point a camera and press the button. A good photo has an element of magic. (and I don't mean magic trick).

The juggler comes close but the levels need fixing, as someone else said the lighting boring. You need adobe light room.
