New Psycroptic (Death Metal)

New song titled "Immortal Army of One" it's on their myspace.

I'm not sure about this, the vocals verge on hardcore. Although I do like hearing Jasons new range of vocal styles. What do you guys think?

New Psycroptic certainly sounds different as far as vocals go. But the awesome technical riffs and drumming still remain.

I wanted to give it a shot. i'm not very close minded so when i see somebody asking for a listen, I'll try it out despite the genre. I listened to it and well, didn't like it. I guess I just don't understand this type of music.

The big obstacle that people have with this music is vocals. Thing you have to know is that vocals in DM are really just there to enhance the music, not be understood necessarily, they are like extra percussion to an extent. Try to ignore them and listen to the music (drums and guitars).

They are not well known but they have three other albums that all kick ass.

Septer of the Ancients is a great album.

Yes it is a great album, this new song seems they're moving in the same direction vocal wise as Scepter. I don't know, I'm optimistic about this new album.

I didn't like that very much.

Boring intro, metalcore vocals, double bass is way too fast. 5/10.

Never really had a thing for death metal I only ever liked the double bassness :P

I'm more into the alternative stuff like Mindless Self Indulgence and Korn (possibly in that category or nu metal?) something you can get a groove on to :lol:
