New York vs. Las Angeles

Both are pretty bad...

As far as my personal tastes, NY. The cops are waaaaay too uptight in LA, and crime is much worse compared to New York City.

Oh god, both are so horrid.... I'd have to say L.A. because they have a clean ocean, and the California landscape is beautiful. And, of course, DISNEYLAND!!!Darth_Tyrev

That ocean isn't as clean as you think.

Los Angeles has much nicer weather. You need a car though, because the city is just so damned big. Traffic is terrible in LA, because there are just too many people trying to do the same exact thing. That means that the air pollution is horrendous. Though the beaches are nice. It is also easier to find cheap rent in LA.

New York has much better public transportation, and if you are so inclined, it is even possible to walk. You really can't have a car if you live in New York though. The majority of the cars in the city are commuters. Winters suck.

Whoever said Chicago is an idiot. Chicago has some of the most miserable winters on Earth. And I say that having been to Russia in winter, which was pretty bad, but still had nothing to match the sheer cold of Chicago's wind.

Are you sure LA rent is less? I was sure it was higher then NY.

And btw CPK is the best. I like the BLT Pizza.

Wait, are you actually trying to say that California Pizza Kitchen has good pizza? Because the last few times I've eaten there I've been convinced that it was utterly mediocre pizza that tries to to hide its average qualities under lots of strange toppings.

I guess you've never been to NYC, because if you did, you'd know that CPK doesn't even compare...

While LA pizza is not quite the worst pizza I have ever had, that would have to be in Moscow, it is pretty damned close.

It would depend on where you go in both places. But even in Hollywood you can find a studio apt for $900. On Manhattan Island, unless you are happy living in a closet, you would have to be Harlem to find rates like that.

And I feel sorry for anybody who thinks that CPK is good pizza. Take a trip to NYC sometime, or Europe, or even most anywhere on the East Coast, and you'll see that you have been blind.
