newly registered domain not showing uploaded website

is it normal for a new domain not to show uploaded site files for a while?

i tryed uploading to a new domain within 20 min of registering it and the site wont update with the uploaded files.

does it take some time for the domain to become active?

a new domain sometimes takes time to "activate" yes. If it doesn't in a day, contact the site whom you've bought it from.

this is my 1st .com domain purchase by the way so forgive my noobness lol
