Ninja Assassin?

Who else saw this film? I saw it last night and it was okay at best. Good fight scenes, but the acting, characters, and story were awful. That romance backstory especially with all that heart BS was so bad and cheesy.

I thought it sucked New Moon was more enjoyable because at least I got something out of itToriko42

It hasn't opened here in mexico yet, but I do plan on seeing it despite all the negative reviews I've read.

I don't really care about the acting or story in this one, it just seems like a good piece of mindless, gory, stylish fun. When I saw the trailer for GI Joe I thought "Ugh, a mindless action flick, lots of explosions, no plot, no thanks", when I saw the trailer for Ninja Assassin I thought "Yay, a mindless action flick, choreographed fights, lots of stylish blood, forgettable plot, I'll watch it". :P

I hope you're wrong, because I wanted to go see it, but this is exactly what I feared it would be.

Havent seen it but it looks like a film people would see for the action and nothing else.

Problem is it tries too hard to have a good story. The action is good but then there is a lot of really poorly written dialogue and backstory and some lame attempts at humor. There isnt enough good action to really make it worthwhile.

Yeah it has a really cheesy backstory that has a romance that is meant to explain why the main character is who he is, but it is so poorly acted and written that it was hard to take seriously.

No, I won't be seeing it. It's obivously really horrible... anyone can tell if a movie is good before you see it or not. Since most previews show about 90% of any relevant scene in the entire movie.

agreed, haven't been to the theater in years, but I enjoyed the movie.

I fell asleep cause I was really tired but my friends enjoyed it. Of course they are the type of fellows who like Transformers and were saying something like "Pirates of the Caribbean has nothing on this" which I wasn't sure if they were referencing something or just being complete idiots.

I liked it.

I read the action was terrible though:cry:
