i find this story quite amusing

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20081217/twl-baker-no-cake-for-little-hitler-3fd0ae9.html

apparently his father named his son after Adolf Hitler because he liked the name and because "no one else in the world would have that name".

I like the name Crapface Jones, but I doubt it would be a good idea to name my child that.

I concur. Though, I must admit that I haven't fully thought out all of the possible ramifications of having a name like Crapface Jones. The only consolation is that you can't have a much worse name for mean kids to call him than his given name.

I don't think that's the reason for the boy's name judging by the name of the dude's other kid: Joyce Lynn Aryan Nation Campbell.

It sounds like the father's a white supremacist or something, but the store still shouldn't discriminate because of that and if it's a public company, I don't believe they can.

It should be against the law to give your kids names like that. That kid is going to have on hell of a time growing up.

Their refusal did not save anyone or benefit anyone anything. Doesn't make any sense, this is a form of discrimination.

Sounds like some dude who likes to setup the dominoes and complain when they fall. He can make his own cake.

While the store really didn't have any right to refuse to put that name on the cake, that guy is a dumb ass.

Its kind of funny because somehow I dont think the baker would mind writing Stalin Campbell on the cake.

To be fair, the kids don't have to tell people their FULL names. They can just go by the names Adolf Campbell and JoyceLynn Campbell.

I find it hard to imagine that won't get out sometime and when it does nobody is going to forget. One parent is already in the news letting everyone know.

how old do you need to be for a legal name change? 18+

Im sure if the kids got a social worker in on it they could change their name sooner.

I'm pretty sure they can; I'm unaware of any place on Earth that constitutionally guarantees cake. That said, I'm sure if I started a ballot initiative for it here in CA, I could get a government mandate for cake worked into the state constitution here.
