I just realized today that there are absolutely no taco bells in Downtown Vancouver, except for the express one in the SB theater. It was unnerving to realize that because ... I kind of love Tacobell. I'm here (in vancouver) on vacations, and today I googled the closest taco bell besides the one in the theater, and I found one right in front of Metrotown. I decided to go there today... and, to my horrible surprise, it had been closed already for years :S.

I just wanted to ask if anyone of you has any idea of why there aren't any taco bells in vancouver? because I know that there a few taco Bells in Coquitlam, Maple Ridge and stuff...

Taco Bell? I hate that place. I think that's because I grew up eating real Mexican food. That and it upsets my stomach on top of being a horrible abomination of something that vaguely represents Mexican food.

I'm Mexican (from Gdl), and I know what real tacos are like. There's just something about taco bell that makes me love it. Might be the complete inaccuracy that it has towards real mexican food (how it was americanized), but maaan that place tastes better than burgers. Still I would always prefer my 4 tacos al pastor con 2 de lengua y 2 de cachete from el pueblito cerca de galerias...ooooooooooooooooooh I miss those tacos as well....

I'm torn on taco bell. I know the ingredients are nasty, and when I eat it, it is perpetually increasing in velocity until it leaves my body again, but sometimes their quessedilla things are just too tempting.

Well actually I kind of messed that up. Silvercity is the name of the theatre itself, but yeah its got a bunch of adjacent facilities :P

I'm white, but like 90% of my friends are Asian so some of their Asian rubbed off on me. I drink bubble tea and eat pho, so in a way I'm part Asian.

Well there are two in Langley, but your best bet would be to search in various movie theatres.

Lol, most of the Mexican food I eat is more of the northern Mexican stuff or the New Mexican adaptation. Lots of red chile and green chile on everything. I really wish I had a bowl of menudo right now.

Asians don't like tacos, so why would there be a Taco Bell in Vancouver?

It's going to be awesome for me. I'm only taking 2 courses that I didn't choose, instead of about 5 last year, I'm trying out for my school soccer team, and I'm going to be second percussionist, instead of third, which is actually a big step. I can't wait. Grade 12 should be even more intense, are you looking forward to it?

I can't wait. Grade 12 should be even more intense, are you looking forward to it?

Man am I stoked for Grade 12. Maybe Grade 11 sucked for me because I pushed myself really hard. I took 8 courses, grade 12 level for most of them, I took the hardest AP course imaginable and it was just hell. Grade 12 though is looking pretty good and I can't wait to start my applications to universities.

[QUOTE="RushMetallica"][QUOTE="-FlyLo-"][QUOTE="RushMetallica"] Your Asian aren't you.

I'm white, but like 90% of my friends are Asian so some of their Asian rubbed off on me. I drink bubble tea and eat pho, so in a way I'm part Asian.

Then my theory is correct, TC, there are no Taco bells in Vancouver because Asians don't like tacos.

I'm asian and I like tacos.
