No Taco Bells in Vancouver?

I just realized today that there are absolutely no taco bells in Downtown Vancouver, except for the express one in the SB theater. It was unnerving to realize that because ... I kind of love Tacobell. I'm here (in vancouver) on vacations, and today I googled the closest taco bell besides the one in the theater, and I found one right in front of Metrotown. I decided to go there today... and, to my horrible surprise, it had been closed already for years :S.

I just wanted to ask if anyone of you has any idea of why there aren't any taco bells in vancouver? because I know that there a few taco Bells in Coquitlam, Maple Ridge and stuff...

Asians don't like tacos, so why would there be a Taco Bell in Vancouver?

Taco Bell? I hate that place. I think that's because I grew up eating real Mexican food. That and it upsets my stomach on top of being a horrible abomination of something that vaguely represents Mexican food.Marfoo

I'm Mexican (from Gdl), and I know what real tacos are like. There's just something about taco bell that makes me love it. Might be the complete inaccuracy that it has towards real mexican food (how it was americanized), but maaan that place tastes better than burgers. Still I would always prefer my 4 tacos al pastor con 2 de lengua y 2 de cachete from el pueblito cerca de galerias...ooooooooooooooooooh I miss those tacos as well....
