On the same mountain that another Noah's Ark was claimed to be found. It carbon dated to 4,800 years ago. Now they have to prove that there was a flood 4,800 years ago that had water levels high enough to drop a boat 11,000 feet up on a mountain.

many Bible ananlyst says that the Ark would probably ended up in mount Ararat way before anything was found, besides, scientist will do everything to rpove that there was no flood.

If it's the Noah's ark or not, the ark went there somehow...

That's a pretty neat find, though I personally never heard of carbon dating that was that exact - 4800 years (plus/minus 100 years is what is implied).

I don't think this will matter one bit

But it is interesting nonetheless

Claiming wood on a mountain is Noah's ark = wishful thinking, especially considering it's a "evangelical explorer" who's claiming it.

It's not their fault if the search for the truth happens to debunk your beliefs.

Sould Galileo have just ignored the fact that the earth revolves around the sun in order to please the church?

Seems to me that science likes proving things with, ya know, science. You're acting like all scientists go a club house with a sign on the door that says "no religion" with backwards E's or something. Also, lived on the Earth long enough? As in lived from biblical times? A boat-like-thing being found near what is now a mountain is proof that a boat like thing was found near a mountain...Nothing else definitively. It certainly doesn't corroborate the story of Noah.

By some, sure; by many others, including many Christians, not. My reading of the Bible is that it uses lots of parables for events that are not necessarily factual to point at deeper transcendent Truths that are most easily taught by example than by pontificating on the direct mystical experience of the Absolute.

I think they used parables because it was easier for people to understand back then.

And easier to understand now for anyone who doesn't have the experience of the divine as the first priority in their life, too; my point is that, for me, I think getting hung up on whether the Bible is a collection of facts totally obscures the meaning and teachings of it.

I agree now since the vadican signed off on stem cell research. Science and Religion get along.

If people dont think it is Noah Arc, what caused this ship to be 11,000 feet up a mountain something had to have happened.
