Pardon me for asking, but how did you not know that already? Have you NEVER seen any band play or anyone play it?
You'll learn your own styles eventually, and you can experiment with pedals, but you need a foundation to work on first.
If you really need some help getting started I recommend a few lessons immensely.
Just remember lessons don't make you magically better in like an hour every week, they help you shape up technique and give you material to practice - which is the key to becoming great.
Practice, like crazy.
Seriously, get off the computer and go play.

No, I don't see anything. Or if I do, I have no idea what it is. I've never had guitar lessons or anything, I'm just learning to play an acoustic and I only know a hand full of chords as of now (why I said "noob" question).
