Which one is better?
NorCal or SoCal???
This topic is locked from further discussion.
neither, but if i were to ever go to cali i would to to the northern part and see the redwoodsg-unit248
you should, they are a breath taking site to see, especially if you go up to eagle point.i think they call it that. but you climb to a tip of a mountain and the whole place is beautiful.
[QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"]Bay Area FTW. 8)Putzwapputzen
the bay area is in NorCal! lol :)
Well obviously I know that, considering that I live there. ;)
SoCal of course! None of that "hella" junk.hobbez
Hey, just be hella thankful no one says "wicked" out here. ;)
[QUOTE="The360Wins"]california blows... north or south.

Yeah umm ok, you wanna explain your reasoning? :|
there are no seasons, the people are idiots, it's way too expensive

So that's why we have Stanford, Cal, USC, UCLA, UCSD, UCDavis, UCSF, silicon valley, one of the top agricultures etc. I guess we must all be really stupid right? :roll:
Seasons? Go to Tahoe if you want snow, the rest of us are fine with not having to put chains on our tires or having our cars rust. The sunny weather is one of the best things about living here.
Well since our state kicks so much *** in every category it's no wonder why it's so expensive to live here. If you can't afford any of the larger homes live some where else if you're gonna complain that much.

Show me something that says the people that attend those schools are all from CA.
AND just because you have money doesn't mean you're not an idiot.
so take your :roll: and go out and explore the world. there are tons of places in the US alone that kick the crap out of any part of CA.

it's been clinically proven that human beings need a change in weather that coincides with the four seasons. only have slight variations on one seasons makes those people the way they are.
kicks so much a**? have you ever been out of the state to see what the rest of the country is like?

Uh yours truly is one of them, as well as 40 other classmates of mine from the class of 2005.
So I guess only stupid people can easily go to some of the top engineering and med schools in the country right? Just b/c you have money doesn't mean you're an idiot either.
Uh, I've been to the east coast and even to parts of Europe, so I honestly don't understand what this last statement has to do with your arguement or anything for that matter. Sounds to me you're just be ignorgant and biased for no reason. No one else in this thread is hating on any other person or their state for that matter.

It gets hot, cold, and rains. Tell me how snow is supposed to help our health exactly. Read my other post if you want to know my own story.

WOW! 40 people from the class of 2005 where in state students? OMG! i guess that proves that all students at those schools are from CA.
but the majority of people that get into those good schools are from out of state. just because the schools are located there doesn't mean anything but that's where the money is... and the money being there doesn't disprove any of my points (seeing as it doesn't have to do with the weather or the idiots that live there).
you're the only one responding so you're the one i'm responding to... not "hating" on you in particular
i've been to CA three times (SanFran, LA, & SanDiego) and each visit was nothing special.... other than the huge concentration of vapid "people".

get over yourself, your argument sucks and your not going to win
I live in SoCal (Santa Barbara and I used to live in Woodland Hills) and it completely sucks. If I had any money, I'd go east to somewhere like Connecticut away from the cogestion and smog and illegals. The people here are stuck up and evil. All anyone cares about are movie stars and money.

Clinically proven that what? If anything the change of seasons causes depression in many Americans. It's called SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder. It's believed to be due to the shortening of daytime hours/lack of sunlight in winter.

I never said all students were from California itself, but from the way you're coming off you type like you think no one actually born here goes to those schools. Give me a break if you honestly believe all Californians are too stupid to get in their own schools. If students have identical scores, the school will pick the student actually from the area since there's a higher chance of he or she coming. Oh and as another example I guess I should tell my Californian native cousins that went/go to Berkley and UCLA, and my dad that went to Stanford they're stupid right?
Nope, I'm not the only one it seems.
Oh boy, you've been there three whole times. So I guess you must be an expert on each of the 30,000 + ppl that live here? So since I've been to New York and New Jersey 8 times, I guess I have the right to judge everyone that lives there too right?:roll:

I wanna get into barbara just to say I did, but really I want to go to UCLa. :)BTW I'd like to add this bit coming directly from the UC website
"Its campuses are the most competitive in the state, and students( more than 90 percent of whom come from California) join the UC community with a wide range of talents and interests."

San Diego is NOT preppy, its very very laid back. And I wanna go to UCLA cuz of its awesome medical facility but if that doesn't work out for me, there's always UCSD. :)[QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"][QUOTE="gorilazandgames"][QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"][QUOTE="hobbez"]You mentioned UC-Davis but not UC-Irvine? I know the whole lineage things are a bonus for private schools, but I was under the impression it didn't work for public schools like the UCs.
