Nearly everyday depending on how much i sleep i end up sleeping again for another hour or two after school in the afternoon and i only go to like 3 classes. I act like a sloth, i dont go on aim a lot to talk to friends simply because i dont have the energy or visit them. Im 19, 180lbs, low fat %, i typically get about 8-7 hours avgerage of sleep, i take vitamins, eat healthy, healthy heart rate and workout 4 days a week but regardless i still act like a sloth. I have been diagnosed with Epstine Bar AKA Mono in the past which is a blood disease that makes you tired, i think maybe i have it again. I rarely ever play videogames either. My schedule usually consists of sleeping, eating, gym, work, school and internet and thats all i usually have energy/time for. Anyone else like this and get over it eventually?

You should probably see a doctor just to be safe.

I was like that all through Highschool, but I think I'm growing out of that phase a little more, I'll be turning 19 in three days. As for the mono hypothesis, I'm pretty sure you can only get that once, don't think it comes back once it has been cured. I could be wrong though. Allnamestaken's prognosis: Wait it out, if you're really concerned about it or if you get even MORE tired, go see a doctor.

That seems like a good idea. Possibly even a sleep lab to see if you're getting a GOOD 8-7 hours rather than just being asleep for that time.

I used to be like that. low fat % too, multivitamins, healthy diet too and about 7-8 hours of sleep and everything. So I started drinking tea, I go to the gym aobut 10 times a week now, and I usually get about 5-6 hours of sleep now, and I have no problems with feeling tired now....

Well i heard Epstine bar never goes away and can come back according to my mom who also has it. I was also wondering, is it normal to wake up and be so tired that you dont care about anything? Initially when waking up i am so narcissitic, unmotivated and slighty nihilist that theoretically i dont care at all if i had the hottest, most awesome girfriend in the world waiting for me outside my room or if i was to wake up to my dream job, im just so dang tired lol?.. arghh. Although i do wake up naturally and not by my alarm which makes me a lot happier when waking up which i dont understand. As for seeing the doctor, i am in the process of getting an apointment.

You are only 19, your internal clock is a bit off to your school hours. Going to bed later and sleeping in later might help, but you cannot because of school. Why is your clock off? Because you are still finishing growing, your body needs lots of rest! You workout, your muscles are growing, that takes energy. in a year or 2 you should be fine

I know a few people who have sleep schedules like that. One girl in particular that I know used to sleep almost 10 hours at night, yet in class she would still be yawning and out of it. She would sleep through class when she could and even took periodic naps at home. Somehow, she still found time to work and do homework, and she finally got over it when she moved out of her house and went to college. Maybe a change of envirnment would help you, or a vacation or some kind of break. Its also possible that your quality of sleep is being impaired in some way. This could be caused by sleep apnea (which is rare in young people) where restricted airways keep somebody from going into REM sleep, which is necessary for normal functioning. This often manifests as snoring so maybe you should get someone to check up on you at night and see if you are snoring. Other things that might help would be sleep aids like Ambien, or over the counter drugs that cause drowsiness like Benadryl. Marajuana helps me get to sleep, but if you aren't into that, it could just make you lathargic all the time.

Of course if you think it is a blood disease, you should just see a doctor.
