Nostalgia is TOO powerful

maybe behind love, but this emotion/feeling is a VERY strange and unique one. It doesn't come often and it feels like no other emotion. It's almost a 'longing' kind of emotion however it's stretched over a long period of time, with maybe a hint of sadness (a good kind). idk... and it effects every type of person and can come from anything. Friends are a good example, or girlfriends of the past - however even video games (Ocarina of Time for me) can cause nostalgia - maybe even more than I'd like to admit. It's a strange state of mind. Anyone have anything nostalgic they'd like to share? Or would just like to agree with me?

Im not saying its bad, i just thought it was interesting how the mind remembers things in certain ways.

i feel like when i get old it will be too powerful... like now i still feel nostalgic about somethings but i brush it off because i know I've got a long life ahead of me with even greater things coming. Once I'm old that'll be it, I can't fight off nostalgia with thoughts of the future. Who knows though

Ya i love that emotion. Main reason why people are always saying that old games/movies are the best of all time etc.

Nostalgia kinda sucks...

I always have nostalgia for my previus school (it was 1 minute walk away from my house, and i didnt do anything at home and had good grades =().

For me, this week has been nostalgic. I've been connecting with old friends. Talking to my last ex. Going through all of my stuff, packing, throwing away things, but I've been finding things from my childhood... and I found a 90's internet radio site :)
